Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is also know as "Give as you earn" or GAYE. It is a tax-free efficient way of supporting the Queen Alexandra Hospital Home.

How does it work? Each time you are paid, a donation is deducted by your Payroll Department before tax is calculated. This means if you pay basic rate tax:

  • If you pledge £5
  • You pay only £3.90
  • The taxman will add £1.10 – at no extra cost to you!

Set up a Payroll Giving donation
Contact your payroll department and ask if they offer the Payroll Giving scheme. Remember that the amount you pledge includes the part the taxman will pay.
You will need:

  • Your National Insurance number
  • Name and address of your employer
  • Employee number (this will be on your payslip)

For more information see http://www.payrollgivinggrants.org.uk
