The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH) in Worthing, West Sussex, is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Neaves as Chief Executive from 19 July 2017.

Andrew brings a wealth of leadership experience having served a full career in the military. His last post was as the Assistant Director of Defence Rehabilitation at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court. This role involved the strategic planning for the delivery of rehabilitation across the United Kingdom, overseas bases, and for both military and humanitarian operations.

He has most recently been working with the Football Association as the sole physiotherapist to the England Men’s Under 19 football squad.

Andrew joins QAHH at an exciting time in the charity’s long history as it is currently undertaking a building project to create more rooms to be able to care for more veterans.  He will also oversee the charity’s special events and initiatives in 2019 as QAHH celebrates 100 years of caring for physically disabled ex-Servicemen and women and their families.

QAHH Chairman, James Fanshawe CBE said: “I am very pleased to confirm the appointment of Andrew Neaves as the Chief Executive of QAHH who joins after a distinguished career in the Defence Medical Services. I am confident that he will soon make his mark at a very exciting time for the Charity.”

Andrew succeeds John Paxman who retires in July and states, “I am delighted to be joining QAHH at such a significant period as it approaches its proud centenary. I hope my experience with defence rehabilitation will allow me to build on John’s exceptional work along with that of all the team who do such an outstanding job”.

Everyone at QAHH would like to thank John for his significant contribution over the past 17 years and wish him every happiness in his retirement.
