Before we are able to take on a new resident it is necessary to undertake a thorough assessment procedure. We use the Roper Logan Tierney nursing care model which is based upon 12 activities of daily living such as Communication, Eating and Drinking and Mobilisation. By investigating each area we are able to build up a picture of the type of nursing care an individual requires and the areas in which they are going to need more or less help.
We do not take residents into our charity home if we are not able to provide the correct level of care they need. Our specialist capability is with those suffering from an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and those with physical disabilities. We are not in a position to accept individuals of an Elderly Mentally Infirm (EMI) nature.
