Treorchy Male Choir sings for QAHH
CHICHESTER CATHEDRAL TREORCHY CONCERT raises over £6000
The charity concert on the 19th January in aid of QAHH was sold out by Christmas time. The World Famous Treorchy Male Choir performed magnificently. The first half of the programme consisted of Welsh Folk songs, Religious Spirituals including wonderful renditions of Llanfair, The Lords Prayer and Sara. Then the choir sang Eli Jenkins Prayer from Under Milk Wood followed by Christopher Timothy with a very passionate reading from the opening words. The wonderfully talented Kate Woolveridge sang a selection of songs from Opera to a moving tribute to Dame Vera Lynn of We’ll Meet Again.

QAHH would like to thank Patrons: Dame Vera Lynn, who drew 3 lucky programme numbers assisted by Christopher Timothy and Nicholas Witchell. David Jacobs gave a very funny speech about the accomplishment of QAHH and all it stand for. The second half of the concert included The Choir singing their new single Far Away Places. Theyalso moved a very stirring Zulu Chant followed by Men of Harlech. Then the war drums played and two young actors took to the stage for the rousing speech from Shakespeare’s play Henry V.

The choir sang several encores to wonderful applause from the audience there was a real feeling that they would like the choir to come and sing again in the Cathedral. Thanks you to David Morris and his family for their hard work in organising this event and sponsors who gave generously to help with the costs and support QAHH.
