Are you up to the
Challenge?
QAHH and
Southern FM are proud to present:
The
'Hero for a Day'
Event

Sponsored by
Carpenter Box LLP

in support of the work of the QAHH
& Help a Local Child
Saturday 15th
November at Bowles, Crowborough, on the East Sussex/Kent border.
Southern FM’s Help
a Local Child has joined up with The Queen Alexandra Hospital
Home to raise much needed funds for physically disabled
ex-Servicemen and women. Our event is based around Armistice Day
and we want you to come and join us, be a Hero For the Day and
raise money for some remarkable people.
You will have the opportunity to take part in a number of
activities throughout the day. If successfully complete 5 of
them you will be awarded a prestigious certificate and medal.
The
Activities will include:-
Rock Climbing
The
natural sandstone outcrop at Bowles is suitable for complete
novices
or for those who have experience of an indoor climbing wall and
would like to try the real thing.
Zip Wire
Just
as the name suggests – fly through the air to the safety of the
descent platform. Suits anybody who enjoys climbing trees and
loves an adrenalin rush. Adaptable for wheelchairs.
Abseiling

Completed an abseil from the top of the spectacular sandstone
rocks 15 metres high.
Wooden abseil ramp for wheelchair users
Trapeze
The infamous leap from a 15 metre high platform to the trapeze.
Most people ask to do this twice so that they can attempt it a
second time
Assault Course
A low impact assault course which will suit anybody who can walk
along planks or stand on a wooden platform 2ft off the ground.
Ski Slope in Doughnuts!
Doughnuts (inflatable rings) will be available for visitors to
sit in, slide and enjoy the ride! Visitors with disabilities are
welcome to use the slope; we provide adapted equipment for
sledging down the slope.
This is not an exhaustive list – other less strenuous activities
will also be on offer, such as orienteering and problem solving.

Get
Involved!
All you need to
do to take part is to pay the appropriate registration fee and

If you complete the challenge you will receive a certificate and medal and
