Fundraising Team

Fundraising Support Officer – 37.5 hours per week, £18,000 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising Support Officer to work in our busy and friendly Fundraising Team. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, outgoing, good with people, resourceful and committed, with good attention to detail and good organisational abilities. You should be flexible in your approach to work and have excellent communication skills. Good computer skills are a must, as is the ability to be a team player and remain calm in busy environments.

This would suit someone who is interested in getting involved in fundraising or someone who likes a variety of work and enjoys organising. Previous experience in fundraising would be an advantage but is not essential. You must have a full UK driving licence.

You would be joining the Worthing-based charity at a very exciting time as we approach our centenary year.

A vacancy has arisen for a full time Healthcare Assistant at The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home. Hours of work are on a rota basis: 7.00am to 3.00pm or 1.00pm to 8.30pm. Weekend and bank holiday working will be required. Candidates should ideally have NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care. A keen interest in neurological rehabilitation of all age groups would be highly desirable. In addition to a competitive salary pay is enhanced for weekend working. NVQ pay enhancements offered after probation.

Holiday is 25 days per annum plus bank holiday entitlement.

Occupational Therapist

Salary: Agenda for Change – Band 6 depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. 4 days would be considered

We are looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist with the necessary skills, experience and vision to work as part of the OT team here at the Queen Alexandra Hospital Home (QAHH) based in Worthing, West Sussex.

The QAHH provides a multi-disciplinary approach to the care and slow stream rehabilitation of those with neurological and medical disabilities, with many residents having served with H.M. forces.  The Occupational Therapist role within the QAHH is diverse and varied.

You will be a qualified and HCPC registered OT, have experience working within a multi-disciplinary environment and be able to demonstrate your commitment to effective team working. Preferably you will also have experience working in a neuro rehab setting.

We are looking for a person with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written who is proficient using various computer systems and programmes. The successful candidate needs to be a good manager of time with the ability to work under their own initiative whilst being a good team player.

We are currently seeking a friendly, customer-focused professional person to join our team as a Bank Driver.

This role involves transporting residents to hospital and other appointments, managing the safe loading and unloading of residents, including wheelchairs and safe anchorage of wheelchairs and residents, travelling in hospital home vehicles.

The successful applicant will have a full clean driving licence, be able to demonstrate compliance with Health and Safety Legislation, and have knowledge and experience of Depravation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs) and Mental Capacity Act (MCA).

Appointment to the role will be dependent on a satisfactory Enhanced DBS with adult barred list check.
